Flooring installation in Canal Winchester, OH

Canal Winchester still carries its small-town core - a lot of the homes near downtown date back to the early-to-mid 1900s, and it's common to pull up decades of carpet in one of those houses and find solid oak underneath just waiting for a sand-and-refinish. We see it often enough that it's one of our favorite calls to get.

Out past the historic core, subdivisions like Winchester Trails and Hanawalt Farms sit on concrete slab foundations, which points most homeowners toward [engineered hardwood](/hardwood-flooring) or [luxury vinyl plank](/luxury-vinyl-plank) instead of solid wood - both hold up better over slab and shrug off the freeze-thaw swings and road salt that Ohio winters track in on everyone's boots.

Every project starts the same way, whether you're in a hundred-year-old farmhouse or a five-year-old build: a free in-home estimate where we bring samples to your kitchen table, measure every room ourselves, and leave a written quote before we walk out the door. Our installers are Burke Flooring employees, not subcontracted labor, so the crew that measures your Canal Winchester home is the crew that installs it - and the one you can call if a question comes up two years later. We do the same work just down the road in [Pickerington](/flooring-pickerington) and [Groveport](/flooring-groveport), so if you have family or neighbors in either town, chances are we've already been in one of their houses.
