Carpet flooring specialists in the Greater Columbus Area
Burke Flooring has outfitted the Greater Columbus Area living rooms, bedrooms, and family rooms with quality carpet for years. Our showroom carries hundreds of styles - plush, textured, Berber loop, patterned, wool, nylon, polyester - and our own employed crew, never subcontracted day labor, handles everything from tearing out the old carpet to the final power-stretch.
Most projects start around $1.99 per sq ft installed. We order directly from Shaw, Mohawk, Kraus, Tuftex, and Stainmaster, so you're paying mill pricing instead of a retail markup, and every job is backed by our one-year installation guarantee.
Choosing the right carpet for the room
Every room asks something different of its carpet. A bedroom or living room can carry a plusher, softer fiber; a stairway or hallway needs a tight, low-pile weave that won't crush under daily footsteps; and a basement or a household with pets is happiest on solution-dyed polyester that shrugs off spills and the humidity Central Ohio summers bring indoors.
- Nylon - the toughest fiber, ideal for the rooms your family actually lives in
- Polyester (PET) - soft underfoot and naturally stain-resistant, a favorite with kids and pets
- Wool - a premium hand-feel with built-in stain and flame resistance
- Berber loop - budget-friendly and long-wearing (though cat owners should look elsewhere)
- Patterned and textured cuts that hide footprints and vacuum lines between cleanings

[Carpet tile](/carpet-tiles) is the smarter pick anywhere one damaged square shouldn't mean tearing up the whole room. The modular squares snap into place, install in hours rather than days, and a stained or torn tile simply pops out and gets swapped for a fresh one. That same modular backing also stands up to moisture better than broadloom, which is exactly why we lean on it for finished basements.
Professional carpet installation
We handle stretch-in broadloom over fresh 8-pound rebond pad, glue-down commercial carpet, carpet tiles, and [carpeted stairs](/carpet-stairs). Every install includes true power-stretching (not a quick knee-kicker job), heat-bonded seams, and full haul-away of your old carpet - most homes wrap up in a single day.

Carpet Flooring - frequently asked questions
A typical 3-bedroom home is done in 1 to 2 days, old carpet and pad removal included. We'll usually move your furniture at no extra charge.
Solution-dyed polyester or nylon with a stain-resistant treatment. The color runs all the way through the fiber, so cleaning up a pet accident won't leave a bleached-out spot.
In almost every case, yes. Pad compresses and holds onto moisture over time, and reusing old pad voids most manufacturer warranties. Fresh 8-pound rebond pad is included in every one of our installs.
Yes - we use a no-staple method that protects the wood underneath, so if you ever want to reveal the [hardwood](/hardwood-flooring) again later, it'll still be there. Ready to get started?
